2018 Health Insurance Plans

In Florida you can get $0.00 premium plans if qualified. With rise of 2018 health plans premiums many Floridians are afraid that they will not be able to get affordable health insurance premiums for 2018 health plans, they don’t know that  subsidy they receive will rise too.

There are challenges including rising premiums, a shorter window to sign up, and confusion over the status of Obamacare.

And that’s drowning out what should be a positive message for most of Florida’s 1.4 million Obamacare consumers — that subsidies will rise to compensate for higher premiums, making better coverage more affordable for many.

Single person with $20.000 yearly income might find out that subsidy for next year is larger than previous year.

Insurers introduced large number of different plans that can fit different needs and budget.

We have seen some plan premiums go down to $0 for qualified marketplace consumers.

Do I Pay Penalty If I Don’t Have Health Insurance?

Image result for penalty

Yes, yes and yes. It is still required to have health insurance that meets the minimum coverage standards set by the Affordable Care Act.

If you don’t have insurance, you’ll pay a fine unless you qualify for an exemption.  Earlier this month the IRS issued its latest decree: It said it would reject electronically filed tax returns of individuals who did not check the box indicating that they and everyone on their return is covered—unless they qualify for an exemption.

For 2018, the penalty is $695 for each adult and $347.50 for each child without insurance. The amount is capped at $2,085 per family, or 2.5 percent of your family income, whichever is higher.

IRS TO BLOCK, SUSPEND TAX RETURNS THAT LACK OBAMACARE DISCLOSURES

The IRS is warning tax professionals that it will block or suspend processing of 2017 income tax returns that do not comply with Obamacare rules requiring filers to disclose their health insurance status.

The new move to tighten Americans’ compliance with the Affordable Care Act comes even as the Trump administration takes steps to undercut it.

“Taxpayers remain obligated to follow the law and pay what they may owe at the point of filing,” the IRS said in a description of the new policy.

The ACA requires most people to have some form of health insurance coverage or pay a tax penalty — a requirement known as Obamacare’s individual mandate.
